Volunteered with SafePlace (now Safe Alliance) as a Legal Advocate for applicants who filed for Protective Orders against their abusers. Provided moral and emotional support for applicants during court proceedings, explaining the court process to applicants and escorting applicants to the court room and sitting with applicants in court.


Volunteered with Austin Police Victim Services by providing on-scene counseling for victims of trauma; domestic violence, sexual assault, suicide, fire, death of loved one, etc. Provided Death Notifications to citizens, as needed. Provided counseling for law enforcement officers on-scene involved in shootings, or emotionally charged calls.


Volunteered with Austin Police Mounted Patrol with cleaning stalls, feeding horses, picking hooves and providing clean hay and water to horses. Also volunteered my photographic skills for a special Halloween event with the mounts and their officers as part of their community outreach.
