Summary
The past 7 years I have been working very closely with children, in both education and childcare. I’ve worked with the Middletown YMCA, in the summer at a day camp in Portland as a unit coordinator, overseeing counselors as well as the children within that unit, and a big responsibility of dealing with different behaviors. In the past, I’ve worked for a before and after school program at an elementary school in Middletown, that is run by the YMCA. I have had two opportunities to work as a Daily Substitute for an elementary school in Middletown town and an Elementary/Middle school in Bolton. I’ve had experience as an acting head teacher of a preschool class room in Glastonbury. I am currently working as a Behavior Technician and soon to be RBT in Glastonbury and attending college as an Early Childhood Education major. I’m am able to apply skills like my knowledge of art, classroom management, and special needs education anywhere I can!
