Role: Release Train Engineer & Business Systems Analyst
Delivery - Engagement Manager
- Expertise in Preparing, Launching and Executing Agile Release Trains by training, coaching and execution on SAFe Agile Methodology.
- Proven Experience in adopting of key engineering practices like CI/CD, Test Driven Development etc. to improve quality and reliability of team's deliverables using Scaled Agile framework.
- Involved in Release Management activities.
- Facilitating PI planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, and SAFe / Lean-Agile CoP ceremonies, coaching and inspiring scrum masters to exercise relentless improvement to increase velocity and quality.
- Helped align the scope of work with the right resources by re-structuring scrum teams to be cross-functional, and identifying where Kanban teams would achieve better efficiency.
- DevOps practices such as Continuous development, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) in runtime with various tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes and managing cloud services with AWS.
- Partnered with client leadership to expand SAFe / Agile practices to other programs and helped bring in and pilot agile maturity tools to measure team health and maturity.
- Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the ART.
- Guided and coach the teams on the Agile Release Train on Scrum practices and develop their understanding of Agile principles.
- Helped to define norms/agreements for the ART and enforce the agreements in collaboration with the Product Manager, ensured the program has a healthy
- Product/Program backlog.
Business Systems Analyst
- Gather information from Retirement Services Technology Business & Product Owners to understand the requirements and propose a design that aligns with existing system frameworks and standards. Participate in cross-functional, cross-discipline JAD sessions including Business partners, Web services/API tech leads, Database engineers and Quality Assurance partners to enhance and set architectural direction for key business initiatives.
- Communicate designs and solutions in multiple forums and to various audiences including technology and business executives.
- Identify opportunities in customizing products and offer for new service offering for TIAA clients such as Blue to Green, Standard Offering, Retire Plus.
- Analyze business requirements and segregate them into high level and low-level specifications using the UML methodologies like Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Data Flows, and process flows adhering to enterprise level design standards.
- Analyze merits and demerits of various emerging technologies and recommend solutions which can fulfill the business requirements and fits in the overall product roadmap.
- Analyze the current Advice Central operational model and underlying architecture to identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency and effectiveness leveraging existing Advice Consolidated data, existing web services/APIs and new technologies.
- Analyze system components to integrate the Advice Central suite of applications with front end systems, like Restful APIs, User Interfaces and enterprise level backend record keeping systems like MDM, OMNI, PRISM and ODS to share the key Advice Profile data of the institutional Business customers.
- Support in design of the Test Plans, Test Outlines, Test Cases, Test Data Requirements, Create and maintain Implementation Plans (Pre and Post) to define roles and responsibilities, efforts, dependencies and facilitate detailed review with all involved parties to ensure a successful implementation.
- Define and develop repeatable framework for communicating lessons learned to application developers, business owners, and application owners.
Perform troubleshooting in Test and Production environments using monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace. Monitor systems performance bottlenecks through performance tuning. Support and facilitate the IT check-outs and Business user check-outs on the day of go live or implementation.
