Summary

Before becoming a payroll administrator I worked for a few years in a department store. I was head of the service desk. And even then I was also involved with the payroll Employees were paid in cash and I was responsible for helping to calculate their earnings and deductions and filling their envelopes>

Years later I worked for NJ Unemployment for 10 years. When I left or my first job as a payroll administrator I took a lot of my experiences from there with me.

I decided long ago, that I have to do an accurate job, people's lives and their families depended on it. There were no excuses or I'll make sure you receive the missed hours next week. It has to be right the first time, no matter what it takes.

With over 17 years as a Payroll Coordinator at First Service residential and extensive experience spanning multiple companies , I honed expertise in payroll processing, ADP systems (Workforce Now) and multi-state compliance. I worked closely with unions, HR, and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting, benefits management and seamless operations. Worked from home for the last ten (10) years processing multi-site weekly and biweekly payroll for over 30 sites. I was very involved with several different unions, sending in weekly and monthly reports and payments. Also, kept track of seniority for increases set forth in the union contract.

Processed payroll for all Union and non-union personnel in several states. Was in constant communication with union, as far as dues, uniforms and health benefits. Worked hand in hand with HR and accounting departments. Took care of weekly and monthly reports. And sent payments and reports to the 401K carrier.

    I started woking with ADP in 1984, at that time we didn't have the internet let alone computers All payroll was done by hand And it needed to be accurate, couldn't go on the computer and fix it

    As we progressed with ADP I took all of their courses, first in DOS, then later in computers Anyone who processed payroll at that time all used the same tools to process payroll They didn't have all the different ADP services that are available now And still taking courses to keep up with all the changes and time keeping services as well

    I think, without a doubt, this was the best education I could have asked for
