Resilient Emergency Medical Technician and firefighter with more than 6 years of experience delivering compassionate care and respect during each and every emergency. Experienced in responding to emergency calls and offering services ranging from cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), wound treatment, and firefighting. Effective communicator with a calm and reassuring demeanor.
I have been an active volunteer firefighter with the Morris Township Fire Department since 2017. I spend time at both of the career firehouses in 12 to 24-hour increments one to two days per week. During that time I respond to medical, fire, and motor vehicle accidents and emergencies. I also assist in cleaning the firehouse and maintaining equipment such as generators, extrication power units, and chainsaws such as the Cutters Edge. I operate equipment such as TNT Storm Series 2 combination tool, Hurst Moc combination tool, Paratech and Res-Q-Jack struts, and the Hydra Ram. I also perform weekly and daily equipment checks. I train with the career staff in order to better myself and perfect perishable skills. I perform skills on the fire ground such as interior and exterior attacks on structure fires. As well as searches, ventilation, and establishing a water supply. I have also used different water delivery appliances such as deck guns, combination nozzles, and smooth bore nozzles attached to both 1", 1.75" and 2.5" hose lines.
I was a member of the Morris Minute Men Emergency Medical Services from 2021-2023 before becoming employed by the Morris County Office of Emergency Management Emergency Medical Services. I began my career with MCOEM EMS in May of 2023. During my time as an EMT I have responded to many medical emergencies. I use the medications in the New Jersey BLS scope of practice. I am trained in the operation of devices such as the LUCAS 2 and 3 mechanical chest compression system, Philips Heart Start FX Defibrillator, and the Zoe 740 Select patient monitor with 3 lead EKG capabilities. I also use oxygen delivery devices such as CPAP and Nebulizers, both hand held and mask.
