I am an energy efficiency professional who utilizes my extensive background in econometrics, statistics, and a range of qualitative and quantitative research approaches to support utilities in their evaluation, research, and planning efforts. Over the past 8 years, my work has included leading evaluation efforts for a variety of behavioral, income eligible, new construction, and commercial and industrial utility programs, conducting traditional process and impact evaluations, as well as broader market assessments, and targeted ME&O research. I have led numerous program and portfolio evaluations and contributed to a variety of other quantitative and qualitative studies across all customer segment types and program structures. I am proficient in survey design and methodology, survey analysis, econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and a variety of qualitative research approaches. I build automated tools and perform complex statistical analyses in R, am proficient in SPSS and Excel, and am continually developing my skills in Tableau and Power BI. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Conservation Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Master’s degree in Economics with a concentration in Resource and Energy Demand Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
With Apex Analytics, I led a wide range of research and evaluation efforts, including the process evaluation of the Focus on Energy commercial programs, assessing baseline efficiency values of various heat pump technologies in the Pacific Northwest, and researching the implications of refrigerant legislation for the Massachusetts state programs. Beyond these research efforts, I also led the design and implementation of various internal tools, including the creation of an employee availability forecasting tool, and standardized budget and scheduling workbooks.
With Illume Advising, I utilized my experience as a quantitative analyst while developing my skills as a qualitative researcher to become a well rounded researcher, capable of approaching and solving problems from multiple perspectives. Throughout my tenure with Illume I assisted and led numerous impact and process evaluations, completed complex billing analyses, designed, administered, and analyzed large survey efforts, and assisted on a wide range of various marketing, education, and outreach studies.
