  • Responsible for the daily duties related to managing and maintaining the Multi Agency Project 25 800MHz trunked radio network, and other related communications systems within Douglas County E911 Department. Responsibilities overseeing and monitoring the operation, maintenance, repair and inventory of all fixed and subscriber radio equipment. Data entry for technical unit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Organize, assign and prioritize schedule technical activities in order to meet efficient objectives, ensure that my subordinates have the proper resources needed to complete the assigned work and operational expectations. Interpret and enforce county policies and procedures, monitor status of all related work and inspect the final goals. Also maintaining master records and access parameters in radio system operating files, not only including county assets, but administering radio network access IDs from regional resources (Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton, Atlanta, UASI, etc.) and several mutual aid partners, including Federal subscribers and stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities include direct supervision of technical and professional vendors involved in the security and integrity of the radio network. Also to insure any future enhancements that the public radio systems will meet Douglas County’s needs and expectations, not only for the users, but for the service provided to the citizens of Douglas County.
  • Reserve member of the Georgia All-Hazards Incident Management Team, as a COM-L/COM-T, deployed for Hurricanes Helene (2024) and Milton (2018) through Georgia Emergency Management and Florida Department of Emergency Management. Deployed to the Surfside Building Collapse (2021) directly requested by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue via FDEM.

Oversee the management, installation, operation and maintenance of all department radio communications equipment, telephone, computer systems and data interfaces. Preparing, administering and recommending the department’s capital and operating communications budget. Provide assistance to other county departments with their emergency communications plan in order to improve their response to critical emergency issues.
  • Extensive experience in disaster preparation, coordinating disaster response and crisis management activities. During my career I have also conducted vulnerability surveys to other radio systems in order to determine the organizations responses and emergency needs. Collaborated with different organizations, both public and private, to develop their communications responses to emergencies. Created designs and administered emergency communications preparedness training courses for various groups.
  • Responsibilities include troubleshoot, repair, manage, coordination and programming of all governmental portable, fixed and mobile radio systems (Harris & Motorola). Develop and validate radio codeplugs for the entire department for all subscriber units. On call status for communications emergency response and assist other agencies on interoperability discipline response.
  • Also troubleshoot and repair electronic vehicular equipment, computer aid dispatch (CAD) and automated vehicle locator (AVL) systems.
