  • Responsible for the administration of the University’s Engineering and Planning Department in Facilities Management. Direct all aspects of project delivery consisting of programming, planning, design, bidding, construction, contract administration, construction quality assurance, mentoring project managers and project close out in support of campus maintenance, operations, improvements and development. Directs the service and purchase order contracts for the operation of the university related to facilities and infrastructure.
  • Led the development of the 2024 Campus Programming effort, resulting in planning of Ronan Hall Renovation, College of Business Administration and General Administration Buildings Renovations, and Merrill Residence Hall Renovation.
  • Led the development of the 2021 Master Plan resulting with successful execution of Towers renovations, retirement of Kewadin Village and Northwest Apartments.
  • Led the development and integration of campus facility records into integrated ArcGIS Indoors platform.
  • Led strategic initiatives enhancing academic program offerings and student engagement.

Projects include renovation, major repair & replacement, building additions and new construction throughout the university. Also served as acting Director of Plant Engineering & Planning multiple times each year from 2010 – 2020.
  • CHIPPEWA CHAMPIONS CENTER | 2020
  • $32.5 million, 2 story, 54,900 s.f. facility to support student athletes and accommodate athletic training, sports medicine, hydrotherapy, locker rooms, offices, meetings spaces and premium gameday seating. Project also includes large LED video board and stadium sound system.
  • BIOSCIENCES BUILDING | 2016
  • $95 million, 4 story, 169,000 s.f. facility to accommodate 40 active researchers, active learning classrooms, BSL-3 & Isotope Labs, Imaging Suite, Herbarium and Vivarium. LEED target Silver. Largest capital project in CMU’s 120+ year history.
  • LACROSSE, SOCCER AND STUDENT RECREATION FACILITY | 2015
  • $8 million, 6,900 s.f. facility including locker rooms, concessions, grandstands, synthetic turf and field lighting. Project also addressed storm water flooding concerns with underground storm water retention.
  • EVENTS CENTER | 2010
  • $21 million facility housing Division 1 basketball, volleyball, wrestling and gymnastics programs in addition to other major activities such as commencement, concerts, speakers and Special Olympics. 5,300 arena seating capacity, 12,000 s.f. practice facility, new wrestling facility, 10,000 s.f. lobby and ticketing space along with new student fitness center.
  • EDUCATION AND HUMAN SERVICES BUILDING | 2009
  • $50 million, 134,500 s.f. classroom facility which is technology-rich, energy efficient and conducive to interpersonal activity. CMU’s first LEED building, LEED Gold Certified.
