Growing up training QH racing industry and working in my family owned feed store, I developed a passion for Equine Medicine at a young age and have never changed my mind since. I've had plenty of hands on experience with both small and large animals, for example, I worked as an assistant in Mexico at a dog and cat veterinary clinic, shadowed several doctors that would work on horses (specifically race horses). I have enough knowledge to know this is what I want to make a career out of and have the will to learn and fulfill my goals.
Feeding, watering, cleaning, and monitoring patients at an Equine veterinary clinic. I also took on several hours of volunteering here which consisted of cleaning and disinfecting the surgery and examination rooms, shadowing doctors when doing preg checks, x-rays, etc.
Would go around places like Sonora, Mexicali, Tecate, and Tijuana attending Quarter Horse race horses. I would assist in scrubbing and cleaning areas for joint injections, prepare meds, sedate, and wrap horses when he would finish. Also shadowed a lot when he would preform preg checks and float teeth.
