Certified Medical Assistant Job description: I floated to various providers keeping the patient wait times to a minimum. I worked primarily with two providers and ran their clinics independently.

Patient Access Supervisor: I oversaw both clinic and hospital areas of the access department more recently moving soley to the hospital side to prepare for an expansion with much growth in this area.

• Contributed to a welcoming atmosphere at the practice by greeting patients warmly upon arrival, checking them in efficiently, and answering any questions they had about their visit or overall healthcare needs.

I started out as a cashier and moved to Merchandise Manager withing 6 months as the Store Manager saw the organizational and leadership qualities within me. I had 9 direct reports. My primary role was to ensure that the merchandise moved from the store room to the floor quickly to increase revenue.

• I worked with two heart surgeons within the electrophysiology department. Scheduling procedures and rooming patients. I became the first Medical Assistant ever to travel on a rotation with the 13 Cardiologist to outlying locations to oversee their clinics. I moved to the Family Medicine clinic to work with a seasoned physician to gain knowledge in this field. I cross trained to the front desk and billing departments to broaden area of expertise and to be available anytime when needed.
