ANGELA TINSLEY

I currently work PRN and have been trained in all areas: day shift, mid-shift, night shift and IV. I have brought my skills from Northeast Georgia that have helped me to quickly acclimate to working different positions and becoming a reliable asset to my new team.

• Main (Day shift, mid-shift and night shift) tech responsibilities consist of; assisting pharmacist with: answering phone calls, responding to missing med messages, compounding medications, delivering medication and emergency medications to the units, and preparing patient daily medication fills
• IV (day shift, mid-shift, and night shift): I have been trained at Emory to help fill-in all IV positions. I have gained the skills and knowledge, to quickly and safely prepare sterile IV medications. I have been trained to fill STAT medication, emergency medication, pediatric and NICU medication. Along with preparation of sterile IVs, I assist with inventory maintained and ordering for IV materials.

• Maintain workflow by; answering incoming calls and aiding nurses, dispensing robot and MedCarousel orders, compounding and repackaging oral solutions, restocking crash cart trays/RSI kits, filing first dose dispenses for technician rounding and tubing
• Specialized with the MedCarousel; cycle counting to maintain dates and inventory, adding and removing stock, keep notes on out of/backordered medication and shortage medications
• Assisted in delivery of STAT emergency meds to traumas on the floor and trauma 1 facilitated emergency room
• Round 600 bed patient towers daily to restock automated medication dispensing machines
• Round patient towers for med deliveries and assisted deliveries for ICUs departments including; ICU, neuro ICU, CVICU, pulmonary ICU, and NICU
• Restock and deliver meds to the off campus behavioral health intake facility
• Inventory maintained by rotating stock in First In First Out sequence
• Specialty trained in Narcotics pertaining to ordering, filing, first doses, compound, rotating stock, and investigating narcotic discrepancies
• Trained in outpatient prescription program for day surgery patients
