• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.

• Assists in the set up of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.

• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.

• Demonstrates proper infection control, hood cleaning, sterile technique, calculations and basic workflow of IV room
• Demonstrates proper technique in cleaning of the vertical flow hood and in preparations, labeling and disposal of chemotherapy.
• Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area.
• Work in the IV room and compound IV medications in accordance with USP 797 standards.

• Accurately mixing and preparing sterile IV solutions according to physician orders, following strict aseptic techniques
• Work in the IV room and compound IV medications in accordance with USP 797 standards.
• Accurately labeling IV bags and vials with patient information, drug details, and expiration dates
• Performing quality checks on prepared IV solutions to ensure accuracy and sterility
• Assisting pharmacists in compounding specialized infusion medications, including preparing investigational drugs as needed
