I am involved in a lot of things in the community. I am the leader of the Red Cross Program at my high school, and I am CPR certified, with my goal being to help as many people as possible through various means, such as organizing blood drives and writing letters of appreciation. Through this work, I have acquired leadership skills, and a stronger desire to benefit the community. I am a member of the National Charity League, and I enjoy volunteering and helping all kinds of people. I work with lots of different people every day, teaching me to serve and communicate with everyone. I recently wrote a grant that will help a local foundation promote early childhood literacy through building a little library, and planning various events, and was awarded the grant. My planning and writing skills have proven to be useful, as well as my strong research skills and attention to detail. I am also a 3-year varsity tennis player, which has taught me to deal with adversity. I have a 4.0 GPA, and I aim to do my best in school and all of my activities.
