As a dedicated athlete on the Park City Swim Team, a lot of my involvement in the community stems from that opportunity. I am a team captain, lifeguard, and swim instructor. My academic related awards include Honor Roll, High Honor Roll, and AP Scholar with Honor.
As a capitan for my high school's swim team, I plan events, lead practices, and encourage our team at meets. I enjoy this leadership role because I am involved on the team and am someone that my teammates can trust for support and guidance.
As a swimmer on my club swim team, I help earn points, improve my swimming, and am involved in a group setting. I enjoy my role on this team because I can interact with my teammates on a daily basis and have grown up to be an integral member of the team.
As a lifeguard at my local aquatics center, I have the responsibility of ensuring the safety of pool patrons. This job has taught me the patience to diligently watch swimmers and the skills required to save and resuscitate drowning victims. I am also required to balance school and other extracurriculars with this job during the school year.
As a swim instructor, I have the opportunity to combine my love for the sport of swimming with the skills required to teach kids how to swim. This job requires me to not only teach kids proper swimming technique, but also how to be water safe. I have also learned to balance school and other extracurriculars with this job during the school year.
As a student, I earned a GPA of 3.8 or higher all four years of high school to earn the award of High Honor Roll for multiple quarters.
As a student, I passed at least four of my AP exams to earn the AP Scholar with Honor award.
At the end of our 2024-'25 swim season, I was given the Most Improved Award. I was given this award because I showed the most improvement in my times out of the entire team.
