A.M.A.P. - Approved Medication Administrative Personnel

• A.M.A.P. certified professional responsible for direct issue and logging of prescription medications and controlled substances to clients
• Maintains strict inventory of prescription medication and controlled substances and adheres to guidelines for stocking, reporting loss and discards
• Updates client prescription information and contact with medical personnel to ensure all changes are tracked and discrepancies corrected
• Coordinates restock of prescriptions with pharmacy and medical professionals
• Use of digital logging software and hand written receipts to ensure all required medical care is current

Behavioral Modification and Client Monitoring

• Utilizes training in Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention - Revised to support individual with developmental disabilities. Techniques to include active listening, safety planning, grounding techniques, breathing exercises and psychological first aid
• Logs reports on client behavior in ABCF format (Antecedent, Behavior, Consequence, Follow-up) in order to promote healthy, productive interaction while correcting or minimizing harmful ones
• Observes client mood and behavior for changes due to medication and/or stimulation and developing plans for management of changes
• Recognition of triggering stimuli, planning interventions and teaching alternative behavior intended to focus towards independence and self-care
• Establishment and follow-up of daily goals programs and assistance in managing routine personal care

Additional Responsibilities

• Licensed and trained driver responsible for transport of clients to urgent care, hospitals and doctors visits.
• Coordinates community inclusion programming, taking clients on socially and intellectually enriching trips

• Supervised children and teens, organized educational activities, and implemented behavior
  management strategies.
• Assisted children of various ages with feeding, dressing, and daily
  routines, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Addressing and assisting with behavioral management needs.
