Museum Director and Events Manager

Museum Director Role:

  • Efficiently manages all aspects of daily museum operations including cleaning and maintenance, strategic display placement, as well as accurate labeling and information.
  • Provides oversight and works closely with the Museum Archivist to establish clear timelines and deadlines for completing all projects and tasks.
  • Proficiently oversees Museum's Database (FileMaker) and IT Infrastructure, encompassing expert project coordination with tech specialists, effective server management, precise domain and security registration, as well as innovative database development.
  • Manages all aspects of Museum Inventory: Tracking, mapping, purchasing oversight, and financial reporting for collection owner.
  • Serves as primary contact for all tour requests; coordinates and sends out tour information documents beforehand. Conducts tours in collaboration with Archivist, providing assistance as needed.
  • Created and maintains museum tour documents as well as archival policies and procedures documentation.
  • Oversees the coordination of Educational Programs and Exhibits through outreach efforts to organizations, successfully arranging loans of valuable items while ensuring appropriate insurance coverage was in place.

Events Manager Role:

  • Coordinates all aspects of event planning and serves as the main point of contact for CFG events.
  • Ensures pre-event preparation by providing event organizers with all required information and documents.
  • Effectively coordinates with collaborators, vendors, and guests for all pre-event activities.
  • Schedules and conducts venue tours with event organizers to finalize event details.
  • Coordinates event logistics, including decorations, transportation, tent and table setups, and cleanup.

  • Successfully organized and managed 14 events in 2024 including, Sheboygan County's Meals on Wheels top fundraiser - June-a-Palooza, Sheboygan County's United Way Campaign Celebration, Sheboygan Visual Artist Plein Air event, an inaugural citywide event honoring Sheboygan's Sister City Tsubame, Japan, and YMCA Camp Y-Koda's Scarecrow Festival.
