I am a seamstress by nature, sewing clothes for myself and assisting my daughter and her children. Since my granddaughter goes to school in Atlanta, when she comes up, she looks forward to grandma making good food, such as pumpkin bars with chocolate chips, with cream cheese and almond frosting. She thinks Grandma's fried fish with gravy and mashed potatoes is the bomb. When they all eat my meals, they fall asleep on my sofas and have to wake them up.
I always take treats to work, but as soon as I reach in with it, word spreads fast, and you see people line up looking for Anne Marie's cooking, it could be cookies, muffins, or even vegetables from my garden.

I am a paid member of CAM. I was one of the dancers in the Caribbean Association of Madison and served as the elected treasurer for 2 years. I also served as elected treasurer of the Meadowood Association for two years, paying bills by sending rush checks to various businesses, collecting dues, and taking notes at their meetings. At that time, the City of Madison was heavily involved with the Meadowood Association and the library. One alderman from the City of Madison would attend those meetings once a month.
