Annika M. Seigel

Student, teacher, and musician offering part-time work and knowledge of the arts and humanities, Spanish, childcare, yoga, customer service and copyediting. Hardworking and detail-oriented with excellent observational, organizational, leadership, creative, and communication skills.

• Lead singer-songwriter and guitarist of folk-indie duo, Ani & Kora (2015-present), and band Ani Mari & Co. (2019-present).
• Recorded two full-length albums (Voyager and Good Fighter) and one EP (Dubious Decisions) of original songs with Ani & Kora.
• Performer at numerous music festivals and venues across Michigan, including (but not limited to) Blissfest, Earthwork Harvest Gathering, The Ark, and The Blind Pig.
• Played at the Viljandi Folk Festival in Viljandi, Estonia, in 2019 as Ani Mari.
• Planned a voter registration and environmental-themed, non-profit concert on the Diag of U-M called “Tune In, Turn Out” in Oct. of 2022.
• Background in voice, classical piano, ballet, and guitar.
• Held numerous lead roles and stage managing positions in theater productions at both Houghton High School and Michigan Technological University.
• Traveled to South Africa in 2017 as a singer in the Michigan Technological University’s Concert Choir during the 8th grade.
• Attended the Springfed Arts Lamb’s Retreat for Songwriters in 2017 on a scholarship from the Blissfest Music Organization.
• Attended the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in 2018 as a Musical Theater major and Ballet minor.
