For over 5 years now every professional decision I've made I have done so with Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science in mind. I am attending the University of New Hampshire starting this Fall to study Animal Science, Homeland Security, and participate in AFROTC.
I am looking for a career in the veterinary field after I conclude my time with the United States Air Force, and I greatly desire to spend the rest of my time in high school working in a clinic gaining hands-on experience.
I have worked with every single kind of domesticated animal (except for livestock) in my formal and informal work. Through CAP and New England K9 I have extensive experience with working dogs and am familiar with professional dog training. I have been a volunteer at the Humane Society For Greater Nashua for a year now where I have served primarily in their Dog Wing. But I also have a lot of experience volunteering in their Cat/Small Animal Wing. In my temporary job at Pets Plus I gained invaluable Pet Nutrition knowledge and learned how to handle, medicate, and tend to reptiles, birds, and a wider variety of small animals. I have informally been self employed as Pet Sitter/Dog Walker and have operated from the Boston Area all the way to Alexandria, NH. And finally in my career at IAM Orthotics & Prosthetics I have learned many aspects of working in the medical field and have gathered a surplus of knowledge working as a clinic assistant alongside medical professionals and receptionists.
My love for animals is something that I cannot easily articulate. I possess the greatest respect and veneration for the creatures that we as humans do not always properly take care of. A position at this clinic would allow for me to work for the betterment of animal life. If you invest your time, energy, and money with me you will be building up an individual who will go out into the world and spread his knowledge. I will use everything I learn to help achieve my aspirations and to continue in the pursuit of answering a higher calling in Veterinary Medicine.
NOTE: I unfortunately had to leave my position due to immense familial pressures and circumstances outside of my control within my personal life
