In between lobster and bluefin season Im the crew member on The Bounty Hunter. We trap spot prawn at Channel Islands, San Nicholas Island and San Clemente island. We go on trips for 4 days at a time and pull a lot of shrimp gear. It's exhausting work and the weather out there will make you feel very small very fast.

attention to detail is a matter of life or death. The skills I've learned over the years keeps me coming home to my family.

I work for one of my closest friends Travis Vaughan. We trap Lobster and rod and reel Bluefin Tuna.

I maintain a clean working vessel in fact I built the boat we fish on from a bare hull.

We fish extremely hard around the clock 24/7

Being tired working long hours while being safe on the ocean is our goal. We are both family men.

You get out what you put in in this industry, you have to be a motivated individual to succeed.

My friend and I started this business. We design, manufacture and distribute our soft plastics around California. I myself am mainly in the manufacturing and distribution side of the business. I also take care all the paperwork to keep it a legal business.

I live a very busy life fishing I find time for Swim Jim a lot of times it happens at 2 a.m. in the garage. We have the capability to produce around 5,000 lures a day.

We have grown organically, not much advertising just word of mouth. I've had the opportunity to see a different side of the industry and meet a lot of great people at tackle shops, fuel docks and landings. My reputation in the industry has definitely helped us grow but at this point we sell to buyers I've never even met personally. We've received nothing but great reviews. We are competitive with pricing and our quality is the highest. This year we are at right about 70,000 plastics sold.

I've found that a lot people trust my advice when it comes to getting the right tackle in their stores. They've been open to our products and their customers have been loving them.

I've taken a lot of time to learn this business not much info is out there to find. It's been a really fun project!

I was Captain this sportfishing boat full time.

We ran open party trips carrying up to 40 passengers. We fished the San Diego Coast, Coronado Islands and local offshore for yellowfin, mahi and Bluefin.

In these years I was fortunate to be able to show people outstanding Fishing. Paired with personable hands on service from me and my crew. We weren't only known as top producers in the counts, we were known for being the boat that taught people and didn't make the new guys just stand off to the side and watch. We specialized in helping the kids as well.

I started getting a very good reputation amongst the owners and operators in San Diego

My attention to detail kept an almost 75 year old sport boat in safe working order. We took thousands of people on it. Maintaining a safe environment for everyone was always my top priority.

I was a beginner Deckhand on the Sea Star, This is where I've learned a lot of life skills that I have taken with me and have used over my carrier.

Customer service, vessel cleanliness and safety were always on top priority. It's here that instilled my values of doing a thorough job and treating people personably from every different walk of life.

I was always a very hands on learner, I was thought on this boat to pay attention to the fine details and the importance of not becoming complacent when out at sea.

At this point of my life the owner Joe Cacciolla and I have become very close friends. He's has watched me grow through the years and has always been in my corner with full support.

The Sea Star gave me the tools to go out and pursue more the professional way.
