With over two decades at The Philadelphia Inquirer, I honed my customer service and active listening skills, excelling in problem resolution and data entry. My journey enhanced my ability to connect with individuals, fostering growth and achieving excellence in customer relations, notably in high-pressure environments like Showboat Casino Atlantic City.
Worked in the home delivery department where was tasked to assist home delivery patrons. The job consisted of daily problem solving, learning to communicate effectively, and gaining a better understanding of people in general. I worked at The Inquirer for over twenty years, and grew as a person for it. I learned patience, how to deal with people as individuals, and that people, for the most part, respond according to your response to them. I also valued the team of people that I worked with, and over the years we'd become like family. Unfortunately I had to leave the job. Our department was being outsourced and I was offered a buyout which I had to take. But the memories shall endure.
Worked in bus marketing department where I aided incoming bus patrons and was an initial point of contact. Our goal was to provide excellent customer service experience to enhance the overall theme of the company. But my personal goal, as an added plus, was to grow as an individual.
As a hobby I like to play chess, to write creatively, to read, to exercise, and to enjoy friends and family
