As a Manager I am in charge of all operations of the restaurant. I'm in charge of ordering product, staff hiring, and quality control, it's also my job to ensure that my staff and customers have their needs met. I take great pride in offering excellent customer service and my staff have let me know that they enjoy working for me and along side me as well.
This position was my first Managerial Experience, I had a lot to learn, but am always ready and willing to grow and pick up new skills. As a Manager, I was learning how to manage staff, listen to their needs/concerns and handle any issues that may arise in a professional manner. I felt comfortable with my customer service, but it was different for me to be the one staff came to for guidance when navigating an issue with a customer. I also was in charge of ordering product for a very busy restaurant. I really enjoyed working with youth straight out of high school, and felt like I had stepped into a mentoring role as their Manager.
At Our Children's Place Academy, my position was an Instructional Assistant for offsite online learning. I really enjoyed this opportunity to work with children again. I provided support during the COVID 19 pandemic which came with many challenges, however, providing support to these children while being away from their teachers/friends was of upmost importance to me. To give them any sense of normalcy was important to me.
