I was with Starbucks for over 2 years for my first job when I was 16, and Crumbl for over a year, I was promoted to a shift lead at Crumbl, I left both of those jobs to pursue a career with health first , which I am currently a part time Health Unit Coordinator on Mother/Baby, I have always wanted to help people and have always been so intrigued by medicine. While working 2 jobs I was also in my Senior year of high school taking on 8 classes one being online and leading my high school marching band as the band captain. Now I am in my freshman year of college in my second semester working on pre-requisites for nursing. I am organized, and dedicated I am amazing with people and great at communicating and multi-tasking. I am able to work well under pressure and in stressful situations and long hours and shifts are never an issue for me. I love my job as a HUC and have learned so much already. I want to pursue a career in nursing and would love to work in Labor and Delivery one day and Pediatric Oncology. I love helping people and getting to connect with them. I have been with Health First since September and have loved the amazing oppurtunities, people I have met and things I have learned so far.
-I am currently a HUC on Mother/baby for the past month, I have recently transferred over to this unit from a Med/Surg Tele-Ortho Unit at Cape Canaveral hospital.
-I am quick to answer call lights, and connecting with patients
-I love to go above and make that bond with a patient and help them when I am able by bringing them a blanket, water, and whatever is needed that I am able to assist with
-I love so much about this job being able to connect with patients
-I respond quickly to calls and call lights and have been known to stay late to help the night shift when needed when they did not have a HUC
-Been told by staff and patients I am always so positive and have a bubbly personality
-I am great at multi-tasking, and connecting with people
-Fast learner, very dedicated and passionate to my job and to helping others
-A ton of multi-tasking when it comes to answering calls, getting admissions set up, transferring patients logging new information into the system discharging patients, etc
