I was a division I athlete during my first two years at Wofford College and was recruited as a member of the inaugural softball team. During my time on the team, I woke up three times a week for morning weights, practiced fifteen hours a week, and had competitions every weekend. Through this experience, I learned how to adapt to a fast-paced environment, manage my time more efficiently, work effectively in a team setting, and persevere through mentally and physically challenging activities. During my last year, I was nominated by my teammates and coaches for the 'Unsung Hero' award, which is annually awarded to an athletic team member who may not have been recognized for their hard work or contributions to the success of the team. Although not selected during the voting process, I still consider my nomination to be a reflection of my positive, hardworking, and relentless attitude.
