• Oversight of new employees, OMT students, medical students, and resident ophthalmologist in technical training with ophthalmic equipment, clinical procedures, and patient care

• Managing a high volume patient clinic while maximizing performance for patient care by monitoring daily activities and mentoring team members.

• Operating ophthalmic equipment for patient eye examinations such as corneal topography, specular microscopy, Goldmann applanation, Humphrey visual field, refractometry, lensometry, and A-scans.

• Completing detailed fittings of toric, multifocal, monovision, scleral, RGP's, and hybrid contact lenses for corneal disease and penetrating trauma patients. Instructed patient in care and use of various types of soft contact and medically necessary lenses.

• Preparing patients and assisted in laser treatments, paracentesis, air-fluid exchange, and ocular injections of anti-VEGF drugs or steroids.

• Monitor and facilitate patient flow in a high volume clinic working collaboratively with other clinical staff.

• Collaborating with physicians and medical staff to preform diagnostic testing such as fluorescein angiography, fundus photography, OCT's, slit lamp photography, B-scans, and indocyanine green angiography to diagnose patients with diseases and other ocular issues.

• Reviews potential donors medical history, social history, and physical assessment to determine whether the tissue is suitable for donation.
• Preforms safe, efficient, and quality surgical recovery of ocular tissue for transplant and research purposes with aseptic technique.
• Obtains blood specimens for serologic testing.

• Monitored patients' heart rhythms and functions through cardiac monitoring strips in the ICU/CCU.
• Collaborated with nursing and medical staff regarding critical heart rhythms and facilitated activities of daily living.
• Obtained blood and biological specimens for time-sensitive critical tests.

• Helped with administrative support, including managing incoming calls, coordinating files, and sorting mail.
• Organized company files and created support system to decrease workload and increase productivity of team members and judges.
• Maintained organized inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, expedition orders, and delivering materials to work stations.
