Work History

Post Doctoral Fellow

UTMB Health
07.2020 - Current
  • Solved the crystal structure of DFosB-JunD in a reduced state and in complex with a redox-switch-targeting compound at 1.94 and 3.21 Å respectively. DFosB belongs to AP1 transcription factor and has the ability to bind with other AP1 transcription factors e.g. JunD form Heterodimer. Published in Nucleic Acids Res (https:// doi .org/ 10.1093 / nar / gkac710).
  • X-ray diffraction data of DFosB-JunD crystals were highly anisotropic and data were processed with different strategies to a resolution cutoff to get a better Electron density map.
  • Expressed and Purified DFosB-JunD from Bacterial expression system and insect cells infected with recombinant baculovirus.
  • Screening of pharmacological compounds interacting with DFosB or DFosB-JunD.

PhD (Graduate) Student

National Centre For Cell Science, Pune
02.2012 - 12.2019
  • Solved the crystal structure of Rv0081 is a transcription factor that is transcription factor that is a central hub of the regulatory network of M. tuberculosis at 3.1 Å and characterized Rv0081 at molecular level using Biochemical and Biophysical techniques (CD, SEC-MALS, SPR).
  • Wrote and published research article for Ph.D. project work. published in FEBS Letter https://doi.org/10.1002/1873-3468.13375
  • During this tenure, had worked independently as well as in collaboration with other laboratories in India

Pre-doctoral Fellow; JRF

IIT Bombay
09.2009 - 07.2011
  • Expressed and Purified Tau isoforms and Synucleins protein from tBacterial Expression system
  • Purified tubulin from Goat brain.
  • Interaction studies of tubulin and Tau isoforms using techniques Fluorescence (light scattering) CD, EM, and AFM
