- I was a laborer for my father’s construction company until I learned how much I LOVED plants. Our main job in this company was to pour concrete so that involved carrying and setting up the forms as well as stripping them once the concrete was set up. Our other duties also included anything from framing the house, putting the roof on, even staying for the finish work. Although this job was not what I was passionate about, I did learn the value of teamwork as well as listening to instruction.
