• Preparation of Intravenous medications using aseptic technique in a sterile environment. • Maintaining a sterile environment as required by USP 797 and hospital policy/procedures.• Proficiently refill and maintain Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis and Omnicell). • Repacking medications using MILT repackaging software and appropriately repackaging Hazardous Medication according to USP 800. • Accurately maintain compliance of nursing medication areas by performing monthly med area inspections. • Efficiently maintain inventory at required levels and order medications and supplies using wholesaler software. • Analyze equipment automation performance and correct deviations and adjust programs to ensure automation equipment runs efficiently. • Assists pharmacists in completing daily tasks. • Answers and triages phone calls. • Helps with scheduling technicians and training new employees.
