As a nonprofit manager, I also have a wealth of experience with grant writing and research, organizational development, and day to day program management of large scale programs. I have spent the last 7 years in the nonprofit field working on issues to improve voter access, increase voter participation, increase awareness around the Census, voter mobilization and engagement. Prior to Nonprofit work, I spent nearly 8 years working on local, state, and federal campaigns.

Clean City Commission

Officially created by city ordinance in 1993, it had its beginnings in 1975 as a part of the Keep America Beautiful initiative. Today the CCC sponsors programs that encourage citizens to clean, maintain and beautify their environment.


Virginia Commission on Youth: Citizen Commissioner

This was a Gubernatorial Appointment to the Commission on Youth. The Commission on Youth studies and provides recommendations addressing the needs of and services to the Commonwealth's youth and families. My responsibilities included: Hosting bipartisan forums for complex issues related to youth and their families; Studying and providing recommendations to the General Assembly on matters related to youth and families in the areas of child mental health, comprehensive services, child welfare, kinship care, adoption & foster care, child care, public safety, juvenile justice, substance abuse, education, health, and human services.
