I have been a tire technician at big o tires in aztec going on 9 months. The main role i have with this position is changing sets of tires on vehicles and doing flat repair's on tires that are leaking, i inspect tires for any abnormal ware such as separating tires. And recommending alignments. A big part in this role is my set of communication skills and being able to be a leader in the department and get tasks done as quickly and efficiently as possible. I also perform 22 point inspection on vehicles looking for any parts that are needing to be replaced such as breaks and shocks that i also replace when needed. i have had mechanical experience that i am able to get when the tire department is slow i will often help on the mechanic side of the shop with front end work and engine/transmission work.
