• Environmental Monitoring:
• Sample Collection: environmental samples such as beach sand and air samples from monitoring station.
• Data Recording: observing the beach environment and the contaminants present.
• Data Analysis: analyzing chemical and biological water quality data and comparing them to local standards.
• Excel: creating bar graphs comparing local standards to water quality parameters from a dataset provided by the MECC.
• Powerpoint: created a summary PowerPoint of all the experiences/presentations we had during our internship
• Developed an Internship Summary Presentation: Create a PowerPoint presentation that summarized the key experiences and learnings gained throughout the program.
• Laboratory: Equipment Calibration, Sample Processing: chemical and biological processing for water and soil samples and Testing: for e.coli, alkalinity, salinity, pH, chemical parameters, nutrients heavy metals, COD & BOD.

• Collected beach samples for chemical and benthic testing.

• Ensured the operation and calibration of air quality stations.

• Participated in conducting biological E. coli MPN testing.

• Assembled water samples from various locations

• Participated in the microscopic testing of phytoplankton

• Recorded and analyzed air quality data from various stations to ensure data is within standards and do not exceed.
