I did not grow up in a horse family, but, over the years, I have been able to turn mine into one. In August of 2019, I spent a few weeks volunteering at Jeremiah's Crossing in Babcock, Wisconsin. The next year, I went back to continue volunteering. I became a PATH-certified Horse Leader in the fall of 2020 and proceeded to volunteer and work at Jeremiah's Crossing up through the summer of 2023. I bought my own horse in the winter of 2022, and we moved to a private owner, where I got to train their Percheron mare and two Mustang mares from the ground up, two of which have become wonderful lesson and kid horses. In the winter of 2024, my mare, Princess, and I moved to a family friend's barn, where I had a real breakthrough with horse training and how to make the most of my sessions. Presently, I am working with a trainer in my area who is advancing my horses' and my training in reining, cutting, and roping, and to overall better each other.
