Ayla Campbell

As a second-year biomedical student at Cal Poly, my academic experience has been accelerated due to the university's "Learn by Doing" motto, which places a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on experiences. With a dedication to interdisciplinary learning, my academic journey has positioned me as a versatile and adaptable learner. I have gained valuable practical skills within the college of engineering; however, my primary focus lies in biotechnology and molecular biology research. This lead me to take multiple chemistry and biology centered classes and labs which has further fostered my interest and experience in the subject. At Cal Poly, I actively engage in clubs that foster critical thinking skills and encourage innovative problem-solving. As I progress through my education, I am eager to apply and expand my knowledge and skill within the biotechnology field.
