Summer Research Team Program for Minority Serving Institutions, Sponsored by the U.S Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS)

  • Researched legal areas of tribal airspace to create a process map assisting tribes in asserting sovereign rights over airspace jurisdiction
  • Researched statistics and data of counterterrorism presence on reservations
  • Worked closely with the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation to pilot a drone training program mirroring FAA standards and regulations
  • Presented findings and developments to relevant DHS stakeholders and NCITE leadership.
