Hiring Team, Claims

National General, an Allstate Company

Re: Auto Claims Adjuster Trainee

Dear Hiring Team,

Leann Hernandez referred me to this opportunity, and I am excited to be considered for the Auto Claims Adjuster Trainee position with Allstate.

I am looking for an organization where I can build new skills and grow both personally and professionally. After speaking with Leann and learning more about Allstate's commitment to developing its people makes this role an ideal next step for me in my career.

For more than five years, I have worked in the recovery and behavioral health field, helping people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

As Director of Operations at NextStep Recovery for close to 3 years prior to my current role, I led programs and teams across multiple locations within the Orange County area and oversaw day-to-day operations, trained staff, and resolved issues with clients, employees, leadership, and outside partners.

That role taught me that leading people well means listening first, staying calm, and making sound decisions when the stakes are high. Today, as a Behavioral Health Technician at BeachView Treatment, I continue to support clients directly in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Much of that work seems to overlap directly to the requirements of working within Claims. Every day I gather information from several people, piece together what actually happened, document it accurately, and follow established policies while protecting confidential information. I am also at ease with people who are frustrated or upset; after years in crisis response, de-escalation and clear communication are second nature. Someone calling after an accident deserves an adjuster who is both empathetic and thorough, and that is the balance I have practiced throughout my career so far. And I am ready to take my skills to the next level. I learn new systems quickly, use Microsoft Teams daily, and regularly use AI tools to stay organized and efficient.

I am a team player at heart, and I am eager to learn more about the world of insurance policies, coverage, liability, and damages from the ground up through your trainee program. Leann told me that it's a great program. Allstate's focus on growth, the stability of building a long-term career with an established company, and the opportunity to work remotely are exactly what I am looking for. And please know that I am more than happy to travel or work hybrid as required as well. I am ready to bring the same dedication I gave the people I served in recovery to Allstate's customers and to the team around me.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I would welcome the chance to talk about how my experience can contribute to your claims team. I'm certainly looking forward to the next steps.

Sincerely,

Bailey Goodwin
