NACE Certified Coating Inspector - Active
I began my career working in a Ship Yard primarily as a structural welder, followed by becoming NDT certified Level II. Next I worked for an engineering company where I took on the NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) Currently AMPP to become a Certified Coating Inspector and Tech Representative for Ameron International Paint for Vessels. Wrote a white paper and training guide for Navy for Paint Application and Corrosion Control. BAE afforded me the opportunity to extend my learning by becoming a combat systems ship superintendent and then a lead superintendent. I left BAE to come to Marinette with Lockheed Martin as the cable team lead. My team along with subcontractor folks streamlined and perfected the process. I needed to return to California where I was then requested in contracts at BAE to become a Senior Contract Administrator with great communication skills and working relationships with Government counterparts. I retired to return here to Marinette. I began working as a subcontract manager in SOC 4, assisting SOC manager with building Project schedule that we could use with trades and subcontractors to remove conflicts in the timeline for SOC 4. I then came to waterfront and became Ship Area Manager - IPDA. I have a decent electrical knowledge as well as structural and combat systems. I am blueprint certified, am familiar with Navisworks and a host of Microsoft programs.
