  • Collect and document patient medical information such as vaccination records to insure process of necessary vaccines are being administered and updated accordingly.
  • Assist physicians with minor processes and procedures, such contraceptive device implants and removals, pap smear, wound care, and Cryotherapy treatments, while preparing rooms with proper supplies and instruments.
  • Perform orders placed by physicians, within scope of practice such as: EKG, vaccination, ear lavage, hearing test, visual acuity testing and other various tests (Point of Care).
  • Administer medication both orally and by injection as prescribed, adhering strictly to protocols for patient safety.
  • Call and fax pharmacies to submit prescription refills, complete prior authorizations, and inquire about a patients current medication regiment.
  • Maintain medical supplies in sufficient stock by monitoring levels and submitting replenishment orders before depletion.

Autoclaving

  • Monthly and weekly cleaning of autoclave machine and spores testing allows sterilized tools to be available for use at any time. Prevention of bacterial infection by 100% when used in patient care.
  • Evaluating tool(s) condition for rust, defects, and viability for continuous use prior to sterilization.
