  • Managed all IT design and installation for a $500 million expansion of the property here in Black Hawk
  • This included a new hotel with 516 rooms, a spa, 3 restaurants, a sports book, and doubling the gaming floor space from 2014 to 2020
  • Designed, procured, and coordinated the installation of all network infrastructure for the expansion for both the corporate and surveillance networks
  • This also included the design and installation of a fiber passive optic network for the hotel guest rooms
  • During the expansion managed the selection of software platforms for our business needs
  • Handled the installation of several new systems including changing from Oasis to IGT for our gaming system, transitioning from Micros to Infogenesis, moving from LMS to Infor HMS, Infor GHR/WFM, and SpaSoft
  • Handled specifications for all IT-related equipment for the expansion of the property
  • This included ensuring redundancy from a hardware, software, power, and backup standpoint
  • Coordinated implementation of several cyber security solutions
  • This includes DarkTrace, Cisco IronPort, Websense/Forcepoint, KnowB4 (for testing and training), and DUO for MFA
  • Currently working through a cyber security gap analysis with one of our technology partners to assess any further issues we should address
  • During the expansion virtualized every possible server to increase redundancy while reducing server room footprint needs
  • Increased from 20 virtual servers to 116 during the expansion process
  • Handled all IT support operations during the expansion and am currently overseeing daily operations for the resort
  • The IT team supports the network infrastructure, workstations, servers, phone system, surveillance system, and audio-visual components for the casino, hotel tower, sports book, spa, and food outlets
  • Oversee all compliance requirements as a publicly traded company along with security, backup strategy, and disaster recovery
  • Also, in charge of monitoring all security updates and patches are applied monthly to keep security vulnerabilities at a minimum
