Additional Information
As an apprentice in a competitive highly skilled trade I had to have this skill to see projects for what they were and to be exceptionally detail oriented without losing site of the larger project. As a small business owner for over 10 years I had to quickly develop this skill much more. Adapting what I understood of large and small projects into a way to synthesize information from customers and vendors to develop a stable company that could be agile in servicing customers. That required real-time constant monitoring and evaluation of operational issues from marketing to final project completion and opportunities to improve efficiency throughout.
From my 1st surprise appointment as a foreman in my sheet metal days through being the owner of my own business I have always felt being hands on was important. Being with the people I am overseeing on jobsite tools in hand to being accessible to employees in my own company in the shop or field has always been a priority. Setting the example by always being there in top form and prepared for the project while being flexible enough to shift as a project’s needs dictate and identifying the most efficient way to do so quickly to keep them on track and under budget. As a dedicated member of my parish community, I have been appointed by our State Knights of Columbus Council to our local Council as its Financial Secretary. This was done by being open to the community’s needs while serving as a Brother Knight in service to our community.
