Accomplishments

At EnerSys, I led a cross-functional team of over 80 engineers on the company’s #1 priority project to develop and certify a new 72-hour lithium-ion backup system to meet emerging requirements for broadband internet infrastructure.

This was a technically demanding and time-critical effort involving systems, electrical, software, and safety engineering teams across multiple global sites. My role was to align these disciplines around clear system objectives, create transparent interfaces, and remove organizational bottlenecks that had slowed progress.

Through disciplined systems engineering and a leadership-by-intent approach, we delivered a fully certified product on schedule, enabling EnerSys to maintain its market leadership and secure long-term contracts with major internet providers.

What makes me most proud isn’t just the technical success; it’s that we built a culture of clarity, accountability, and daily improvement that has continued to accelerate subsequent projects.

AI & Automation In Engineering Leadership

  • Applied AI, machine learning, and automation tools to enhance engineering workflows, data analysis, and decision-making across multidisciplinary language models for requirements analysis, technical summarization, and engineering Q&A (Ollama, LM Studio)
  • Developed pipelines using open-source AI workflow tools to create simulation imagery and videos for system visualization and stakeholder communication (e.g., ComfyUI)
  • Built automation workflows with open-source orchestration platforms for data parsing, engineering alerts, and documentation generation, reducing manual effort (e.g., n8n)
  • Tested open-source multi-agent reasoning frameworks to explore distributed decision-making in complex systems engineering (e.g., CrewAI)
  • Leveraged generative AI tools for technical ideation, structured writing, and proposal development (ChapGPT, CoPilot, Gemini, Perplexity)
