I am a student at BYU working towards an undergraduate degree studying English and International relations. Through a wide range of work experience as well as unique life experiences I have developed an abiding interest in the maintaining and promoting of religious freedom on a global scale. I am deeply involved with the religious education of BYU as the result of my work with Dr. Merrill and Dr. Faulconer and have been privileged with the opportunity of expanding that knowledge through experiences such as those provided by the University of Cambridge as well as personal experience living in Thailand. I am trilingual and have recently been employed as an intern in the financial services industry. This has been a precious addition to extensive experience in the humanities as it has given me the ability to mobilize ideas through the application of financial knowledge and the funding that comes with that. I believe it is the responsibility of every person who espouses big ideas to also pursue an understanding of how to promote those ideas and ensure their sustainability. I see my work in finance as the manifestation of that belief as I work to develop a comprehensive understanding of the world in general that will aid me in my ultimate goal of preserving and promoting liberty globally.
