Growing up, my dad was a machinist for 25 years was always fascinated by his work mentality and dedication to provide for the family. My first job was at Hartford Golf Club as a cart attendant, after 2 years of being a cart attendant. I was promoted to the proshop and worked with cash and cards. I learned a lot about communication skills and how to become a leader and help other co-workers. Outside of School I enjoy golfing and hanging out with friends and family. I was a good student in high school who was willing to learn about new skills and traits that would help me out in life. During my high school career, I took 3 different levels and classes of welding where I built a mini grill, a mini toolbox, and a hand cart. In the first welding class we learned how to spot weld, stick weld and we were introduce into MIG welding. In the second level, we did a lot of MIG welding and learned how to do use all the proper welding techniques and welding signs. The third level was a mixture of fabricating and welding. In this class we learned how to use mastercam to make and design logos and parts. In this class I also learned how to pipe bend, program a robotic welder and use a plasma lazer. All of these skills were learned at Hartford Union High School by welding and fabricating teacher, Corey McCauley.
