Since i have been little i was always very helpfull with my family / neighbors and helping raise kids be it taking them to school , warming up a hot bottle or even walking my neighbors dogs to the park , walking them , sometimes even giving them showers, or maybe it was going nextdoor in my apartment complex to keep the senior lady company and have her show me how to paint, she absolutely loved having anyone to talk to, she never felt lonely that way.
My very first job i was working at a popular restaurant for about 2 years until i found a job at a nursing home for the elderly , to me it made me feel amazing in being able to help and gave me a great sense of purpose, it wasn't long before i started to build strong relationships with the elderly i took care of & started to see them as my extended family ( some of them feeling the same way ) i would do their Hair , make up , dress them well & make sure they always looked clean and presentable , what ever it was they needed , time or no time i always always gave them the time and care they needed. i have even had other co workers tell me " i don't know how you are so patient and calm all the time , i cant always be like that " i would even stay after work occasionally to help them clean their apartment or look after heir pets, mainly dogs and cats, cleaning the kitty litter or taking the dogs out for a good walk to spread their legs & run, many of the residents had parkinsons disease , alzeimers & for others their memory started to fail & it was either they need help taking care of their pets or they need to be rehomed. All of my co workers wanted to go on strike because they would say things like "if they want me to clean litter or walk any dogs they need to raise my pay " for me , i always empathized with the elderly , especially the animals and i volunteered myself to take care of any animal in that senior home as well as the seniors , be it they missed a bath day or whatever else they needed, i was always there and more than willing to help. Taking care of things, animals or people is something that comes very naturally. I worked breifly at a dog boarding facility and absolutely LOVED my time there and being hands on. i have 5 dogs and 2 cats of my own and right now i feel like they are my biggest passion in life. i love caregiving for both animals and people alike. i landed up leaving working at the dog boarding facility just simply because it was part time not full time and i needed the extra money from a full time to be able to provide for all 8 of my pets and myself. I have had dogs my whole life since i was a baby and am very very good at reading their body language and stopping dog fights before they happen just by watching their eyes / movements. Last year a few houses down from me my neighbors pitbull got out and was attacking a smaller dog ,it was a bloody mess. there was about 3 honking cars , 10 people screaming and shouting as well as two men with poles hitting the dog ( making it worse ) immediately i run out of my house , no shoes , half naked and immediately i knew what to do and sprung into action , i was able to stop the fight within a minute and put a leash around the dog and got it all under control until police, paramedics & fire department arrived. Helping has always been a passion of mine and i never hesitate to do so , ill always try and do my best no matter what.
