Seasoned in both Clinic and Endoscopy nursing, I am accustomed to a fast paced/high productivity environment and excel in such. Referral review and disposition, phone and walk in triage, scheduling of procedure patients. Assist the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures. Completed a 16week Endoscopy nursing contract for busy outpatient clinic that completes 40-50 procedures daily. Admission and assessment of patient to prepare for moderate sedation procedures, obtaining IV access, and peri-procedure education. Assess patient needs, and in consultation with the physician, patient, family and other health care resources, determine how to meet those needs. Provided nursing care for 1-2 high acuity patients in 20 bed ICU. Created and implemented nursing care plans, worked closely with multidisciplinary team to support patients recovery. Skills most frequently utilized include: patient assessment, medication administration, vasoactive medication infusion titration and monitoring, ventilator support and monitoring, airway management, wound care/dressing changes, invasive hemodynamic monitoring (swan ganz, central and arterial lines), post neuro surgical ICP monitoring and/or ventriculostomy monitoring/drain.
