Unfortunately, the in-person 2021 Health Policy Conference was cancelled and staff took over the task of organizing online speakers, topics, and agenda for the virtual conference. I have been appointed Chair for the 2022 conference.
  • AANP Southern California State Representative: 2020 - present. Act as liaison between California AANP members, AANP Region 9 Regional Director, and AANP staff to ensure legislative information is disseminated in a timely fashion. Also, represent AANP at the CANP annual educational conference, ensure open communication, and participate in pertinent information sharing between California nurse practitioner members and the organization.

  • AANP State Advisory Committee Member: 2013 - 2015. Worked with committee members on pertinent bills and served in an advisory capacity to the AANP Health Policy staff.
  • University of California; UCI, UCLA, UCSF, & UCSD - DNP Task Force: 2013 – 2015. Worked with task force members to gain approval from the Deans at the 4 UC nursing schools to begin an inter-campus DNP program. Ultimately, it failed and campuses chose to move forward with their own programs.
