As a member, I advocate for children in the foster care system, helping to ensure they receive the support they need. The supportive community within KATS encourages personal growth and fosters lasting friendships. Through training sessions, I’ve developed essential skills that enhance my ability to make a positive impact. Overall, being part of KATS for CASA allows me to serve my community while building valuable connections and gaining practical experience.
I am also the Historian of The Sociology Club. Being the historian for the sociology club at Sam Houston State University has been an enriching experience. In this role, I document our activities, events, and discussions, helping to preserve our club’s history and share it with new members. I also get to engage with the sociological concepts we study while reflecting on how they apply to our club’s initiatives. It’s a great opportunity to enhance my organizational skills, connect with fellow members, and contribute to our community’s understanding of sociology.
