  • Responsible for Key Accounts and Upper Midwest sales territory management in independent pet stores, local chains, regional chains, Mid-States-farm store chains and hardware stores/chains.

  • I began with RFG Distributing as a Sales Territory Manager and through rapid sales performance was promoted to Key Account Manager within six months.
  • Earned national sales award with Wellness Pet Foods for largest percentage of sales growth for my region earning a trip to Alaska for the Iditarod Race.
  • Dramatically grew business with Mid-States accounts by adding an entirely new category to their store sets in multiple lines of natural pet foods including Blue Buffalo, Wellness, Canidae, Natural Balance, Merrick, Chicken Soup and others equating to tens of millions of dollars of new business for the company.
  • Trade show manager for Mid-States Distributing and led sales team to call on accounts throughout the region to help grow sales, solve problems and maintain customer relations.
  • By the end of my tenure with Animal Supply the Mid-States group I was responsible for had increased from 12 million to well over 30 million in sales volume.
  • Inherited Blain’s Farm & Fleet doing under $200,000 in Mars business and grew them to over 9 million in total sales in just over eight years by adding multiple major lines of natural pet foods and pet supplies.
  • Took over Pet Supplies Plus accounts and began calling on corporate office. Negotiated to become the preferred distributor in the Midwest, adding multiple major pet food lines, growing sales from 1.5 million to over 11 million. Directed entire sales team on focus initiatives, advertising & sales objectives.
  • Spearheaded Cipher Lab handheld ordering scanner project and collaborated with IT to add our software specifically for Pet Supplies Plus.
  • Then managed the rollout of our own handheld scanner program for over 100 key accounts and specialty pet retailers. Led the sales team of eight people in the collaboration over two years. Project was a massive success in growing sales with all accounts, attracting new accounts as well as increasing ordering efficiencies for RFG and for all the customers which it was implemented with.
  • Performed cross functional and team leading skills with Pet Supplies Plus’s co-op ad program and coordinated with participating vendors monthly for ads.
