I Conducts training in accordance with the program of instruction; evaluates, counsels, and trains students; accurately prepare all documentation on each student’s progress with 99% passing rate. As Course Manager I assist in the revision of POI and ensures that classrooms, course materials, tools and equipment are ready for junior instructors. Prepares and present unit training, supervises junior instructors and performs other duties as required. Supervise lower grade soldiers and provides technical guidance to soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Supervise unit maintenance on wheel and track vehicles, material handling equipment, power generation equipment and upkeep of hand and power tools. I ensure the TRADOC accredited schoolhouse 2nd Ordinance Training Battalion operates under the specific guidelines of the Army Enterprise Accreditation Standards. I keep all 7 Standards up to date and updated the Battalions SOP. I Report all finding directly to the Battalion Commander.
As a surface Maintenance Mechanic, I perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and/or overhaul of a variety of combat, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment. I also troubleshoot, performs maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles. This may include self-propelled artillery, tracked cargo and personnel carriers, road graders, mobile cranes, front loaders, conveyors, bulldozers, power shovels, compressors, generators, tanks, tracked combat vehicles, sedans, buses, all-terrain vehicles, trucks, semi-trailers, forklifts, tractors, and accessory equipment. Troubleshoots, repairs and overhauls major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls. Makes repairs to assemblies and components such as voltage regulators, generators/alternators, brake cylinders, etc. Performs work in accordance with modification work orders, technical manuals, lubrication orders, maintenance bulletins, regulations or management policies.
