I am an Ethiopian-born student and aspiring mechanical engineer with a strong passion for community service, cultural inclusion, and innovation. As one of six siblings—with four sisters and one brother—I’ve grown up with a deep sense of responsibility and teamwork. I founded a nonprofit supporting refugees, serve as president of the Muslim Student Association at my high school—growing it to over 200 members—and have led efforts to restore historic sites and build schools in Ethiopia. Through these experiences and a rigorous academic background in STEM, I’ve developed leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that I’m excited to carry into future opportunities.

• Founded a nonprofit organization supporting refugees, leading fundraising efforts and awareness campaigns.
• Helped raise over $2,000 to restore a historic religious site in Ethiopia and begin construction of a local school.
• President of the Muslim Student Association at Mason High School; expanded membership to 200+ students and organized events promoting unity and cultural awareness.
• Volunteered 200+ hours at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, supporting youth programs and community outreach.
• Led outreach and partnership efforts for a cancer care nonprofit, securing hospital collaborations and distributing care packages.
• Worked in customer service at Puma, engaging with hundreds of customers and helping raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club.
• Excelled in advanced STEM coursework, including AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, and AP Chemistry, in preparation for a future in mechanical engineering.
