Summary

It is my professional responsibility as an educator to ensure the students I serve learn and grow-both academically and emotionally. Students must feel they are important and their differences make them special. This is why reading is such a passion- students either see themselves in their reading- the characters, their struggles, their growth- or they get a look into the lives of others who are different. Through literature we can learn from one another while reaching for excellence.
